From Their Texarkana to Our Texarkana: A Reimagining of Photographic Images. As a part of the TXK150 Sesquicentennial Celebrations, this exhibition will feature 15 selected artists that will be paired with a photo from the Museums System archive to reimagine in their own way. This exhibit will open on September 19th and run through November 25.

First held at Hot Springs in 2014, “Dollars & Sense of Historic Preservation” is a day-long program designed to emphasize the economic benefits of preservation, provide information and resources on preservation incentives, and encourage the use of incentives through practical, real-world examples. The program is designed to meet the needs of chambers of commerce, private and public community and economic development organizations, realtors, owners of historic properties, planners, bankers, municipal officials, county leaders, and anyone with an interest in community and economic development. The City of Texarkana Arkansas invites you to a workshop on Preservation and Repair of Historic Windows. Gain hands on experience as you work with national preservation specialist and PBS series host Robert Yapp from " About Your House." The Texarkana Area Veterans Council (TAVC) is proud to announce that it will host the Anuual "Veterans Day Parade" this year on actual Veterans' Day - November 11, 2023. It will start at 11:00 am at East Broad & Hazel Streets. Line-up starts at 9:30 am. All area Organizations, Schools, Clubs, Churches, & Businesses are invited to participate.
