Passport for Museums
Texarkana, USA - 4th grade teachers in underserved schools now have the opportunity to apply for a grant for FREE field trips to any of the Texarkana Museums System properties thanks to underwriting by the Arkansas Community Foundation and the Texarkana Museums System.
Passports for Museums will award up to 750 students and chaperones access to a free field trip at any of the 4 museums within your local Texarkana Museums System. Trips can be scheduled from January through the end of May 2020 and grants are available for teachers at schools with a 65% or higher Federal Free/Reduced Lunch ratio.
Explore early Texarkana history and heritage at the Museum of Regional History. Design, touch and create at Discovery Place Interactive Museum. Find out how the Ace of Clubs House got its name and how life in the 1900’s differs from today. Learn how a man from Ireland made his living in Texarkana and at the P. J. Ahern Home.
